American Heart Month

February is American Heart Month. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women in the United States. In 2024, the Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (DHDSP) is encouraging women to focus on their heart health. Women often experience delayed recognition, diagnosis, and treatment for cardiac events, such as heart attacks. Click here for some resources to encourage the women in your communities to protect their heart from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
