Mental Health Awareness Month
May 6, 2026
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Nearly 60 million U.S. adults experienced mental illness in a recent year, according to Mental Health America. This year’s theme, More Good Days, Together, encourages us all to reflect on what a “good” day looks like for ourselves and our communities. A “good” day doesn’t have to mean happy or productive; it can simply mean calm, manageable, or whatever feels right to you.

AI for Mental Health Monitoring
Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a promising tool for mental health monitoring and has the potential to support digital behavioral health care and education. A recent study revealed how AI technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, wearable sensors, and chatbots enhance diagnostic accuracy, predict crises, and improve access to care. These innovations are also expanding access to care, offering new ways to support individuals when and where they need it most.
